Social Distancing Law in DC, Maryland, and Virginia
Our firm recognizes the absolute importance of social distancing and wants to make sure our fellow DMV residents understand Mayor Bowser, Governor Hogan, and Governor Northam’s Executive Orders and the possible legal ramifications that the orders entail. We have seen many questions go unanswered on various social media pages and want to fix that. We have gone live on Facebook to answer questions about the Orders and intend to continue to do so with the message that this is serious, and folks should stay home unless absolutely necessary and consistent with the emergency orders in place.
To help spread awareness and give back to the DMV community, we will be posting explanatory videos and blogs that break down each component of the stay-at-home orders from each jurisdiction in easy to digest terms. As the pandemic progresses, we will regularly create new content to help our leaders get the word out about social distancing. We do not want the police to start arresting people and at the same time, we want citizens to comply with these laws to help stop this pandemic. We hope lending our voice to the effort as criminal defense lawyers will help the public understand this is serious and they could get arrested.
